Vacation Time in San Antonio!

JUST ADD CHILDREN play center....oh the fun places I found when I was being a tourist to my home town. So sad I could have been bringing Sophie here the past couple of years!

Father's Day Goodies!

FUNTASTIC PLAYLAND! Another super fun and huge indoor play center. They also had a special area for toddlers with soft toys to climb on!

Goodbye Whitey!

We parked Travis' white civic off at the HEB parking lot while we went to Sea world to see if anyone would call about buying....and within 1 hour we got a call, so Travis left Sophie and I at the waterpark while he went to show the car. Well he sold it and still to this day Sophie asks why we left our car in Texas at the HEB. What a great car!

SEA WORLD FUN!

We had to get good use out of our Sea World passes...plus it is one of my favorite places on earth! I get sad just thinking about missing out on Sea World fun. The kids were just really getting excited about Sea World and asking to go..and then we had to move. Oh, well we have lots of fun memories at Sea World!!!
Sophie was so excited she was big enough to ride!

MOVING TIME

JUNE 12, 2010 Moving boy!
The truck/trailer and muscle man!

So, it finally came after 5 years...moving day! Lots of preparation, packing, selling, and cleaning. Lets just say...I am not a fan of moving. I don't like change and I don't like the unknown. This was such a mixed emotion move for us. I was so sad to move from such a fun neighborhood, great ward, amazing friends, and a very entertaining city. I could have lived in San Antonio forever. However, the unknown ahead was super exciting. Getting ready to move home to Utah was what we both had been working towards for the past 10 years. Travis' parents were nice enough to come and help us load the truck and then drive it home for us and unload it. Super amazing parents! My mom was generous enough to come back in February to get the house cleaned out, packed some, and ready to put on the market. Then she came a week in May to help us and watch the kids while we went on a vacation. We are so lucky to have such great parents. Sophie and Tanner were so confused when the house was empty. I actually went back the next day to clean it and have one last bubble bath in my tub before I shut the lights off for the last time. I was sad, but it was great to sit in the house by myself and reminise about the fun memories our little family had the past 5 years. We will always miss San Antonio and our home!

Sophie's Young Chefs Academy Cooking Class

In June, Sophie went to 2 classes at the Young Chef's Academy. It was a GROUPON special and I am so glad to got it. The first class was on the morning we were loading all of our furniture onto the moving truck. I had scheduled the class a month before and all the other classes were full so I had to keep that day (we were supposed to move our furniture the week before, but our closing date was changed.) It worked out great for Sophie to go to class that morning so she didn't have to see all of her 'stuff' packed up and put in the truck. She had so much fun peeling the potato, cutting the potato, and making pigs in a blanket. Then the following week she had her 2nd class. They made fruit smoothies and cheese rolls....she didn't have as much fun this week...I thought she was just tired since she hadn't taken a nap that day...but as the class went on she started getting runny eyes and nose...then with about 10 minutes left she said "I want to go home." I didn't know if she was just mad she had to keep washing her hands since she kept touching her eyes and nose or what. Well come to find out that night she was running a fever of 102 and the following morning we went to the pediatrician where I was told she had an ear infection. Keep in mind we were no longer living in our house and were staying at our friends house. She kept saying "I just want to go home"...I felt so bad because we had sold our home...but how do you explain that to a 3 year old. Thank goodness our friends the Wood family let us stay in their house while they were gone, which was such a fun place to stay and super kid friendly. Sophie's got to stay in her friends room for 2 weeks. All in all I am glad we tried cooking class!

Travis' AEGD Residency Banquet

We celebrated the end of Travis' AEGD Residency with a yummy dinner and dessert with his fellow residents and faculty. I am so proud of Travis for doing such a great job in his Residency. I am so glad we were able to stay in San Antonio 1 more year!

Fun at Chuck E Cheese!

We met up with our friend Melissa and her kids Makayla and Tyler for a fun day at ChuckECheese. We had originally planned to go swimming but a rain storm ruined that fun. But, luckily we went for some indoor fun. Sophie loves playing with Tyler. Makayla was so cute with Tann Tann. We miss them sooo much!
