LET'S RODEO....SAN ANTONIO

Last Saturday we went to the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo. We actually didn't have time to go to the rodeo, but we had so much fun showing Sophie all the animals. She loves animals. She gets so excited when she sees something move. I know petting zoo's are not very clean, but I didn't care because I knew she would love it! We cleaned her up really good after she was done petting the animals. We went with our good friends the Marelli Family. They have a little boy who is 7 weeks older than Sophie. They are best buds!

We love the Moo Cows!!!!! Sophie and Daddy at the Petting Zoo!

Daddy and Sophie petting a Lamb, Pig, and Goat. She loved the pigs wiggly tail! Sorry for the bum shot
WHAT A FUN FAMILY OUTING!

SPECIAL VISITOR

Last Sunday we had a special visitor come to our house. It was my dear friend/college roomy/ bridesmaid / teammate ALI!!! She was here coaching her club volleyball team. It was so fun to get caught up and reminise about old times. We had some very fun times together. I could write a novel about all the funny things that happened while we roomed together for 3 years. I still remember the first time she told me she was a little nervous living with a Mormon...(she had been mislead about my religion) But within days of living together she realized I was completly normal and a lot like her. We would stay up talking for hours at night and would laugh together and cry together. I remember once we dressed up like nerds and went through Jack in the Boxs' drive through and ordered food from other chains like Big Mac, whopper etc. We ended up just ordering 2 waters...(we were broke college students) I love to look back on all the fun memories of college and playing volleyball.

The Next American Idol

So, I am pretty excited about this seasons American Idol, but my vote goes to Sophie for this years American Idol....She loves playing with the Karaoke microphone. I laughed so hard when I saw this picture. I hope she will have a better singing ability than her parents :)

On Saturday Sophie and I went shopping...No not to the Mall, Kohls, or even Wal-mart...We went Garage Sale'in. We love to go to the Garage Sales here. I went out looking for a Stationary play table and came home with not only that, but a Sit and Spin, Push/Sit car, and a baby swimming pool. We had so much fun! She loves playing with her new toys...although I put the Sit n Spin away for a later date and the swimming pool will be for the summer. We made a pretty good team out shopping. I have learned how talk people down on prices at garage sales. Here's my secret...offer the husband/man a lower price...they are the ones who just want everything gone...who cares how much. The wives have a harder time letting go of thier things especially that cute little outfit they remember thier child wearing. So, overall it was a great day for good deals. In fact I came home with money leftover....$1.00! (I began with $14.00)

"O" Tooth!!!!

Yes, its true Sophie got her first tooth! And daddy was sure to tell me it was her "O"tooth. She no longer has a gummy smile. She now has a gummy plus 1 tooth smile. Here are some pictures we took outside a couple of days ago. She was scared at first as you can see in the picture below but, loves it now. She especially likes to eat the leaves and acorns. She will crawl to the sliding glass door and get excited to go outside...the sad thing is she forgets there is a glass door there and she'll crawl into it head first. I figure she'll learn sooner or later, or I just won't ever wash the window and she'll see all of her little finger prints smudges everywhere and realize there is a window. Hey if you look close you can actually see her hair is growing! Yeah!
