Sophie has been so excited about Christmas lights, the advent calendar, her fisher price nativity set, and Santa. So, on Saturday I took her to sit on Santa's lap....and well....she wasn't too thrilled about the idea of sitting on his lap. On the way there I would say, "Do you want to sit on Santa's lap?" her reply "yah!" Then I told her to tell him she wanted a Elmo doll. She would say "Santa Elmo". So, being the first time I have taken a child to see Santa I was super excited to capture that cute smiling kid sitting on this lap! However, we never got that picture....she wouldn't let me put her down! So here we are together with Santa! She did tell him "ELMO"!
On Thursday evening our Relief Society went downtown to the Riverwalk. We all took a boat ride to see all the lights! Super fun!

Yeah, my kids aren't big Santa fans either. Riley is actually the worst one of the whole Baldwin clan. I may never get a pic of her on Santa's lap but I've got some other entertaining pics of her hiding that make for some good memories too. See you in a couple weeks!
Yep . . . it takes our kids about 3-4 years before we can get the smiling-on-Santa's-lap picture.
We're mean though and make them sit on Santa's lap anyway, so we get the screaming-on-Santa's-lap pictures. They're funny pictures!!
Ava was the same way with Santa. She sat and screamed the whole time we went by him. You are looking so good, you don't even look pregnant! Not fair, I look so big already. Maybe it would help if I was a little taller. :)
Shanda! I got your blog address from the Christmas card you sent my parents! Your little family is so cute! I am so excited that I can kind of keep in touch with you guys now. It has been forever since I've seen you! Hope all is well!

Hope you are having fun in the cold Utah weather while we are all walking around in short sleeves. :)
