Cakes, BBQ's, and Garage Sales!

So last week was pretty full of girls night outs and baby showers. We kept pretty busy just keeping up with the week! Thursday night we went to a Dental School BBQ that was geared towards families (kids) but I soon found out that all adults are still kids inside! Travis said "Sophie is having so much fun" and I replied "I think you are having even more fun". We both had a great time playing on all the bouncy equipment.

Sophie and Dylan playing in the bouncy houseThen late that night after Sophie went to bed I went over to my friend Kim's house to decorate her little boys CARS cake. This was officially the first character cake I decorated...It was so much fun talking and decorating. Last but not least....Saturday was serious Garage Sales day. Every neighborhood around was having thier annual garage sales. So we started around 9:45 and didn't officially end until 2:30. I got some amazing deals. When getting home and looking up the real prices for the items I got I was amazed at what good deals you can get at a garage sale. The highlight of the day was Sophie's bed. Earlier in the day I had asked how much they wanted for the headboard/frames and they said $10. I left and thought I would check back later in the day. So a couple hours later I stopped by and offered them $5.00. They said $8. I left and thought I would check back later. Well around 2:15, I was on my way home and noticed they had cleaned up thier sale all except for some stuff by the curb. So I drove up and to my excitement was a big poster saying "FREE"....They lady laughed and said "looks like you got your bed". Well not only did we pick up the bed...we picked up a table and computer monitor for free as well.
Yeah for Free Bed!!

The major garage sale'n hasn't started yet here but I'm getting anxious. I don't think I could find anymore room in my house for anything though unless I hold my own garage sale. Good finds! (Those velcro suits are pretty snazzy!) Luv Ya!
