Sophie's Birthday Weekend Fun

Sophie had quite the fun birthday weekend. She started it off on Friday, May 6th with her friend birthday party...then that night she had her cousin Jacee have a slumber party. They did awesome. They watched a Barbie movie and then slept through the night. Then I made them purple/pink swirled pancakes for breakfast. It was so cute to see them play together. They played all day. I dressed them like twins and then for dinner Sophie chose Chick-fil-a for her birthday dinner and wanted Jacee to come with. Jacee lives 5 hours away so it was a treat to get to spend so much time together. Then after dinner we zoomed back home for Sophie's Family Birthday party with all of her cousins! Which is a separate post alone! Then that night she wore her favorite new Tinkerbell jammies to bed. Then Sunday morning which was Mother's Day and Sophie's actual birthday we started the morning off with Daddy making us pink and purple swirled pancakes! Then Sophie got to wear her new birthday dress to church! Then for lunch we had my brother, mom and stepdad over for a birthday/mothers day lunch!

This year Sophie has been really into Princess'! So, it was only fitting that she had a Princess Royal Ball party. We passed out some fun little invitations to all of her friends and then had her party on Friday afternoon. We set up stations for all the kids to get all princessed up (I know that is not a word...but its really what they did) They got makeup, nail polish, dress-ups, shoes, jewelry, and crowns/sashes...and admired their beauty in the full length mirror. Then we had each of them walk down the red carpet in their new fashions. Then they had their royal tea party..on real china! They thought they were pretty special. We opened presents and then went up stairs for a Royal Egg hunt outside. They finished the party with some sidewalk chalk and trampoline. Sophie loved her party and so did all of her friends. My mom and I had so much fun decorating for this party. We turned my basement into a Royal Ball Palace! Lights and all! This year I went with Tanner to his preschool to the Mothers Day Breakfast. It was so much fun! They had it set up like a restaurant where the older kids took our orders. We had crepes, juice, and sausage! Yummy! It was fun to spend time together just the two of us!

Tanners First Stitches

On Easter Sunday while over at my mom's house Tanner fell and hit his head on the corner of some brick at her house. Holy Cow it bled like crazy.....I of course freaked out and Travis stay calmed. Once it was all cleaned up it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He only had to get 2 stitches...but wow talk about scary thing for me and him of course! After he got them out the following day he hit the same spot and split some of the skin open again...this time we used a butterfly bandaid!

Princess Party

In April the Cache Valley Child & Family Support Center hosted a fundraiser Princess Party. This was such an amazing party. Everytime we drive past the conference center where it was hosted Sophie says "that was the best princess party ever!" We got Sophie all Princess Pretty! Then when we got there Prince Charming and Cinderella were passing out sashes and roses. Sophie took one look at Prince Charming and was smitten! She totally has a crush on Prince Charming now! Then her cousin Ellie and her got their nails painted, made tiara's, listened to Fairy God mother read them a story and then played lots of games where Sophie won awesome prizes like 4 princess barbies! Then we had a tea party, she got her face painted, made jewelry, had her picture taken with Belle, drawings (which we won some great hair product), then at the very end she was escorted by Prince Charming down the aisle! That was the highlight of her day! She gets all giddy when she thinks about Prince Charming! I love it!
