Blog Overload...Super Behind!

So, its true! I have been super slacking in the blogging department. Its not that I haven't been keeping up with everyone elses, its I haven't found the time to actually sit down and download all my pictures to my computer...not to mention a broken camera doesn't help. Anyway the past 1.5 months has been super fun and super busy. The beginning of August we had a get together at our house with all of Travis' fellow residents, I helped host a luncheon for a friend of mine who went through the temple, and so on. Then the kids and I went to Utah for 2 weeks for vacation. We had a blast...more to come on that! Since Utah we have been busy going to SeaWorld, started playschool, and have started a program with the place Tanner goes for his hearing impairment. All in all it has been a great last couple of weeks. I have started a new "coupon hobby" which has kept me busy....it gives me my fix of shopping for a whole lot less money! I only get things I know we'll use. Since I am so behind, I figured I should start from the beginning...so each day this week I am going to post some pics of our life the past while! (plus I've been getting in trouble by my family because I haven't updated the blog is so long) Enjoy!

Class Reunion Family Picnic...aren't they adorable! The little cutie next to Sophie is my friend Bobbi's little girl! How in the world will I tell Sophie "no" at 16 when she asks for a car.....especially if she still looks this cute driving one!

MC class Reunion...Jamie, me, Bessie & Julie! What a fun evening. It was great to see everyone who came. I wish Travis could have been there with me. He couldn't come home because of work! Hopefully home will be Utah a year from now!

Never fails....everytime we come home to Utah someone gets sick...Poor little Sophie was throwing up non-stop for nearly 7 hours. She was such a trooper. She would grab the bowl herself. Then she cried when she had a potty accident....because she very rarely has accidents since she was potty trained in June..I explained to her that when we are sick sometimes poop happens, (literally). She is such a sweet and strong, independent little girl. Somedays I find it a constant battle, but then I remind myself I am glad she is strong willed. This day and age you have to be to survive.

Sophie finally got her "SLIP-SLOPS". Nanny bought her some after 2 weeks of begging for some "SLIP-SLOPS" and her wearing everyone elses. I let her take a nap by them the day we got them..since they had not yet been worn.

This was such a fun day! My Mom, Krista, Me and the kids drove to Salt Lake for the day to let the kids play at the Discovery Museum and in the Fountain at the Gateway. My Dad was able to come with us to the museum. He then took us out to eat at the California Pizza Kitchen (YUMMY!!) It was so fun to see him and so much fun for Sophie and Tanner to see him.

You can always count on having a great time at Grandpala (what Sophie calls Grandpa Baldwin) and Grandma's house. Tanner and Sophie played with cousins, Sophie rode a horse, rode in a train, and Tanner got to meet some of his cousins for the first time. Hopefully I will get more pics soon!

HOW CUTE ARE THEY?????? This is Tanner and his cousin Tyler. Guess who's older????????? If you guessed Tyler was older you are right...He was 11 months in this pic and Tanner was 4 1/2 months...Yeah I know we have a big boy! He is already wearing 12 month clothes...and weighs 6 lbs less than Sophie.

Tanner 4 Months

I seriously can't believe Tanner is 4 months old today! He is getting so big! He goes in tomorrow for his 4 month well check-up! I think he weighs at 4 months what Sophie weighed at 1 year! I love him so much. He melts my heart. He is such a calm and happy baby. He is my world!

Family Friday Night Fun!!!!

SO....Travis is going to be so mad at me....but sometimes it is easier to ask for forgivness later right? Well a couple of weeks ago Sophie and I made cow costumes for Chick-Fil-A customer appreciation day. If you dressed up like a cow you got to pick any combo meal off their menu for free! (So.....I thought it would be more fun to make cow costumes than cooking dinner!) Travis was so embarassed until he went in the store and saw that half the customers in there were also dressed as cows. Times like this are so much fun! I love fun adventures like this. Sophie thought it was Halloween! Sometimes you just can't worry about what people think of you or how they look at you!

4th of July

We started the morning off with our wards pancake breakfast. Travis had to help cook the pancakes. Then we went over to our neighborhood pavilion for a fun 4th of July celebration. There was a train ride, moonbounce, nachos, and slushies. It made our yearly homeowner dues worth it! Then we ended the evening with some swimming at Sea World and the firework show around the Sea World lake. We were nervous about the crowd at Sea World, but it wasn't too bad....and the fireworks were AMAZING! The best I have ever seen.

Tanner was so intense while watching the fireworks. I think his eyes said it all!

We spent Fathers Day with the Allens. They have a fun tradition of having an icecream tasting contest. Whoever gets the most right gets the title of the "Ice Cream King". We may continue the fun tradition!

FORT WORTH TRIP!

In June we took a quick family vacation to Fort Worth for a wedding. Travis went to Dental school with both the bride and groom. It was so much fun. We left early Saturday morning so we could take Sophie swimming at the hotel. We swam for an hour and then went to the wedding. This was such an amazing wedding. The ceremony was beautiful! We went to the Fort Worth Zoo for the dinner and dance. We got there and were given a ticket to board the train. Then the train took us to a fabulous dinner and dance. We didn't leave until 11pm. Sophie had such a good time. She cried when we left because she was having so much fun dancing. Thanks Aron and Brandon for inviting us to such a fun celebration! Daddy and Sophie swimming!

June Fun
